Das vorliegende Buch bringt über hundert alte Ansichtskarten von Orten die zur heutigen Gemeinde Vrhnika gehören. Am stärksten mit über der Hälfte aller Ansichtskarten, ist Vrhnika (Oberlaibach) selbst vertreten) mit 15 Borovnica (Franzdorf) und sein einst so berühmter Eisenbahnviadukt auf den übrigen sind kleinere Siedlungen zu sehen, für die bisher festgestellt werden konnte, dass sie auf alten Ansichtskarten zwischen den letzten Jahren des vorigen Jahrhunderts, als in Slowenien - und auch in Vrhnika mit Umgebung - ein Ansichtskartenfieber grassierte, bis zum 2. Weltkrieg abgebildet sind. So wie im Buch Dežela ob Cerkniškem jezeru (Cerkni - ca 1990, 164 Seiten), das von Dr. Marijan Slabe, Milan Skrabec und Janez Sumrada gemeinsam vorbereitet wurde - und das eine Auswahl von alten Ansichtskarten für das Gebiet der Nachbargemeinde Cerknica (Zirknitz) brachte - wurde auch fur das ………….. ……………………… ………..

In this book entitled "Vrhnika, amazing place" a hundred postcards of places belonging to the Vrhnika Commune are being published. Almost a half of them are dedicated to Vrhnika itself, some ten or so to Borovnica and its once famous railway bridge others to smaller places, the postcards of which have been discovered by now. The chosen material was issued mostly between the end of the 19th century, when postcards became fashionable in Slovenia as a whole, as well as in Vrhnika and its surroundings in particular and the beginning of the Second World War. As in our book on the Country around the Lake of Cerknica (Dezela ob Cerkniskem jezeru, Cerknica 1990,264 pp.) which was prepared in collaboration with our distinguished colleague Dr. Marijan Slabe and where old postcards of places in the neighbouring Cerknica Commune were published, the bulk of the material presented here was chosen among the ………………… ………………………….
