Although the London County Council have issued a small booklet about the blue plaques which adorn many noble houses still remaining in London, it is only in the nature of a simple guide and leaves much to be said. Not only Londoners, but also the many visitors who come to London every year, must long to know more about the houses which bear these proud plaques.
