This is the story of how God, at a certain moment in history, chose to show His love in a special way to the people of northwest Ghana and of how they responded to it. It is also the story of what I have been blessed to witness during the greater part of my life, ever since arriving in Jirapa in November 1929.

This is not a book of fiction, therefore. It is the true story of men and women who heard God's call to leave home and country and leek Him in Africa among the Dagaabas and the Sissalas. They found Him there and they helped those same Dagaabas and Sissalas to rediscover Him themselves in a totally new way.
